yesternight, kenneth and i visited Shoya, a one hat japanese restaurant located on market lane. i have always been wanting to dine there after hearing cindy's constant praises about it. both of us had a $100 degustation set, and felt that our money was very well spent. service was excellent, kenneth's beer was on the house as we waited quite awhile for it. after that, there was hardly any wait after each course.

i love every single dish served. no complains at all, only praises. you can tell that a lot of effort was spent in creating each dish. all the flavours matched perfectly! every bite gave me a wonderful surprise. we were so full after the meal, they don't sting on the portions.

better than nobu i shall say.

The Order

stole some pictures of facebook from lishen's 21st birthday party album. her party was held two friday nights ago at a rooftop bar on swanston. lots of mingling with tapas and drinks in our hands. i love her elegant purple birthday cake as well as the "21" balloons. the after party was at neverland, i had great fun! clubbed till 2am, got home and ready, and left for the airport to catch our carins flight at 6am! first and probably last hangover in the airport. photos are credited to our friend cum photographer, roy ong. i love his work, all his pictures are stunning!

St. Ali

had brunch with cindy and jon before they flew back to singapore last thursday. the food was amazingly delicious, living up to all the hype. really one of the best cafes in melbourne. i'm not a fan of vegetables, but the sweet corn puree matched perfectly with the poached eggs.

i'm halfway into my two weeks mid-semester break. cannot stop complaining how fast time flies, its really ridiculous. apologies for not updating my blog regularly, its all because of the numerous event invitations popping up on my facebook page.

my life has been truly amazing. i cannot be more thankful.
