Party With Tea

where do i ever begin? i have been away from this site for almost 2 months, and countless of things have happened in many aspects of my life. family, love life, friendship, studies, etc. will try my best to post as many pictures up since i'm having ultimate freedom for quite a bit of time. yes, i've finished my 3 years of university education (hopefully)!

why this picture of hotel windsor?

just two days ago (i know, i skipped tons of events), rachel held a mini birthday party at hotel windsor for high tea. this girl has finally turned 20, and look how tai-tai-ish she looks! rachel tjong, i love you. :)

i have always enjoyed high tea. sipping on tea and munching on sandwiches, scones and little sweet things, is the best combination for a ladies get-together. the round table we had was a little too big though.

$60 per person. i found it a little expensive though we couldn't finish all the food. the scones at the tearooms located in national gallery of victoria is better than windsor's. however, i really enjoyed their flora teas, very fragrant! also, their little cakes and macarons were delicious.

what's a birthday occasion without pictures!! i like how the three of us wore similar shade dresses with black heels coincidentally.

that's not all, we all love polaroids! we just kept snapping away.

the seven of us who were there to celebrate rachel's birthday. dress code was - colourful sundresses. i think we definitely lived up to the theme.

The Order

stole some pictures of facebook from lishen's 21st birthday party album. her party was held two friday nights ago at a rooftop bar on swanston. lots of mingling with tapas and drinks in our hands. i love her elegant purple birthday cake as well as the "21" balloons. the after party was at neverland, i had great fun! clubbed till 2am, got home and ready, and left for the airport to catch our carins flight at 6am! first and probably last hangover in the airport. photos are credited to our friend cum photographer, roy ong. i love his work, all his pictures are stunning!

Ghung

we found the best korean barbecue place in melbourne! its located at 19 McKillop Street. everyone, please do check it out, really good quality food at reasonable prices. but service isn't the best though.

we ordered the beef set for four. look at all the different slices of beef. wagyu beef was my favourite, so soft that it melts in your mouth. i'm not a fan of pork, but the pork belly was yummy! fatty, oily, and crispy.

seafood pancake is a must-order for me whenever i go for korean bbq.

what's korean bbq without some soju? we had the kiwi flavoured one, tasted like fruit juice, but just the way i like it!

it was vanessa's 20th birthday dinner. poor girl faced so many "obstacles" on her way to meet us. we waited an hour for her. not a bad thing because the wait made us more hungry, which made the food more delicious. :) i love food binging on empty stomachs.

the cupcakes are from cupcake central, colourful and pretty. but in terms of taste, little cupcakes is still the best!

our set came with desserts as well. we had green tea tiramisu, berry panna cotta, and black sesame & green tea ice cream. best part of the desserts was the tempered chocolate! i loved it. right amount of sweetness and cocoa.

and guess what! i'm heading back to ghung for dinner later. tonight's gonna be a long and fun-filled night! hooray to the weekends. :D

Friends Like These

i had such an awesome night out. then again, when are times spent with them "un-fun"? it was crazy and hilarious, a state i'll try my best not to be in again. my life long friends, a title that they are most worthy of. to our dear queen cheryl, happy birthday. <3

i'll be flying off to KL in approximately 9 hours time. till then y'all! :)

Black and Gold

i'm back home in singapore now. for the past few weeks, i've been making appointments with all my friends and writing down a list of things to do this winter. little did i realise that i have so few days on this sunny island, how am i gonna squeeze everything into this month?

anyhow, here is one of the delayed posts. charlene's 21st birthday party!

the house was filled with black and gold balloons, the huge ass "21" balloons were my favourite! :) we had a passionfruit and chocolate cake as dessert after our delicious spanish dinner.

us four, all dressed for the night out! we ended the night with clubbing at eve, no pictures though! either due to the fact that my camera died, or we were having so much fun dancing.

i love the decor of portello rosso, especially their bar!

girl was so sweet to make us a door gift, la belle miette's rose macaron.

i'm not a big fan of spanish food, but food that night was yummy! my favourite 2 dishes were the parma ham, and the juicy tender beef cutlets.
