we all want a white christmas, don't we? merry christmas everyone!!

club med, hokkaido was one of the best family holiday trip. 6 days and 5 nights of pure relaxation- no stress, no pressure, just nature. club med is the perfect place for a good break from the city. activities for the hotel guests are organized from 8am to 11pm. you do not need your phone or internet, my bb was only used as an alarm clock. i love club med. so much so that i'm considering working in club med for a short 6 months after graduation. my 6 months will just be filled with fun, laughter, peace, and joy. nothing else.

so, there wasn't enough snow on the first 2 days of my trip. spent 2 full days in that club. i guess it is a blessing in disguise, since we were forced to participate in the activities organised for us. such as, magic shows, trekking, baking, ping pong, swimming, and playing jenga. i made plenty of friends during the stay, from the young to the old.

i was always looking forward for the night time programme. i love their 8pm shows put up by the G.O-s in the theatre, always so entertaining. from the mini club performances, to comedies, circuses and michael jackson performances. every night, it is full house.

right after the show, there would be games and dancing sessions at the bar, an open one. a perfect place for chilling out after a day of skiing. the games are not only for children, they have games specially designed for adults as well. dancing for 2 hours isn't easy, especially when you have to follow their moves. i had to get drinks from the bar to take a break. i love how everyone there is so friendly.

thank god for the heavy snowfall. for the next 4 days, we skied every single day. in the morning from 9.30 to 12, and in the afternoon from 1.30 to 4. no opportunity wasted. we had the choice of skiing on ourselves or taking up lessons. i like how they have ski and snowboard lessons provided for everyone, from beginner to advance. plus, the ski instructors are people from Whistler, and the Canadian Ski Team. oh, the snow there is so soft, it instantly melts on your fingers or when it touches your tongue. if we had one more day, i would have gone to explore more courses. gives me another reason to fly back.

only complain? the food there wasn't as good as club med, cherating's. yes, we did have sashimi, ramen, udon, tempura, japanese curry. but the food was more or less the same for those 6 days. sadly, we missed out on the hokkaido crab buffet. yet again, IF we stayed for another day.

alls not that bad, since i managed to eat 2 huge bowls of awesome ramen at the japan airport. that is the best ramen i have ever eaten in the entire world and life. nothing else beats it. my whole mind was filled with japan airport's ramen on the flight there. plus, hokkaido's white chocolate biscuits and ROYCE chocolate makes me a happier girl. :)

Scent of Flowers

spring flowers are out! purple and pink ones blooming at university square. no cindy to take picture with the flowers this time, cause we do not have a single lesson together. :( really miss those one hour breaks with jon and her.

the weather this week is insane. monday and tuesday was so sunny and hot, but wednesday, thursday was, and tomorrow will be cold, windy and rainy. :( not very cool, since the walk from law building to home isn't very near.

have been mugging at law almost everyday. love the new study area for law students, very conducive for studying. all thanks to kimmy who introduced that area to me. hence, i have been having lunches and dinners around elizabeth quite frequently, and the food there is really not bad man. :)

rachel and i forced ourselves out of bed despite the real cold and foggy weather. changed our breaky plans from APTE to Laurent as we were inspired by those pastries shown on masterchef last night. sadly, we both forgot to bring our cameras. luckily, we had our bb-s! we're now studying at frank tate, love the decor. it's so stylish and modern. batsu game is really so funny! we just started on the hot spring edition. :)

today's breakfast plans with rachel at APTE cafe failed. we couldn't wake up as we only slept at 2am last night due to batsu game- haunted house! plus, the weather was so cloudy, foggy and rainy. that's winter for you. but we're moving our plans to tomorrow, and we're hoping that it'll be sunny. :) we need to so stuff to spice up our remaining studying days while our good friends are all back in singapore. planning to cook bkt on tuesday night, and play some clue-do/uno with rachel and my best study help ever- M.

really can't wait to fly back. i'm already feeling excited though my flight is only on thursday. so many things to do this holiday! SO MANY. :)

Melbourne Thus Far

hello once again, i'm finally back to this page after so many days. reason being, i was occupied with so many things in melbourne...

first meal in melbourne

touched down and i immediately went for lunch with my cousin at ying tai on lygon. my all time favourite asian restaurant in melbourne. spent that day running errands, cleaning up my new house, going to the bank, etc. after one tiring day of work, i went for dinner with rachel & mum for awesome japanese meal, raw sashimi. : )

getting into place

the next day, merrie, cindy and boyfriend arrived. morning was just spent moving my stuff from boyfriend's place to my house, afternoon was spent unpacking and night was just more unpacking. called the movers though, 50 bucks an hour, nice and cheap!

went to ikea with merrie to buy stuff for our house early one morning. the trip there was almost two hours, because we kept missing trams. wasn't an easy trip back though, i was struggling. but after much buying & shifting, i've finally got my room settled. it's red/pink, i love it. :) pictures of it will be up soon...

and, i finally got my hands on blackberry 9700! pretty isn't it? iphone is still with me, decided not to sell it. anyways, i'm loving bbm, twitter & facebook. with such awesome applications, i guess i won't be blogging often. do checkout my facebook mobile uploads and twitts instead.

cute little things

little cupcakes craving settled at degraves with cindy and rachel one afternoon. i had freddos and max brenner's too. took away an exploding chocolate shot and bought 2 tubs of ice cream yesterday. happy & fat me. :)

korean barbecue

had korean bbq with kim seng, merrie and cindy one night near victoria market. haven't been to korea before, so i still feel that melbourne has the best korean bbq. wanted to go to the previous restaurant we went to, but it was full. luckily the food that night was good too. :)

expensive 2 hours

caught two movies so far and both were so good. watched shutter island with boyfriend and dear john with merrie and cindy. shutter island was such a good thriller, the twist was totally awesome. leonardo dicaprio is such a good actor, love him. everyone should watch it despite it being scary. no ghosts at all. dear john was another of those sad/touching love stories. cried the most in this film compared to a walk to remember, notebook, and if only. the ending wasn't that great though, should have been better. by the way, rachel told me that the words "Dear John" is used when breaking up with your boyfriend, and the words "Dear Jane" is used when breaking up with your girlfriend. don't know how true is that, but cool fact.

ice cubes falling from the sky

the hail that messed everything up. we were shopping at myers, and just as we were about to exit, it started pouring crazily. boyfriend called me all of a sudden, and told me that it was hail and not rain. looked out, and we were shocked. saw people taking pictures, cars stopping under the shelter and large ice cubes and leaves on the roads. apparently, train and tram services stopped, moomba was flushed out, cars were dented and a roof actually collapsed.

not much fun

lectures has started last week, and tutorials this week. i really hope i make new friends. well, in week one, i already have 2 assignments released and i'm struggling with business finance. help.
