checked out another chic place on little lonsdale with the girls during the weekends. its a cafe and art studio combined! love the vintage furnitures, and how the place is decorated so messily, yet still looking neat and pretty!

food was rather delicious, the typical aussie brunch meals. however, i feel it's a tad overpriced. there are better cafes out there!! i wanna try ST. ALi soon. perhaps next semester since exams are in less than 2 weeks.

we got charlene a pandora bracelet with 3 charms as her 21st birthday gift. we had fun choosing the charms - a heart, a cross, and a whisky look alike. so glad that she loves her gift! :)

during the april holidays, kenneth brought me to this japanese basement restaurant cum bar, located along russell street for dinner. i love that place - the interior, the concept, the food and drinks. the entrance is so not obvious at all! a flight of normal looking stairs leads you to a "door" which is basically a thick black heavy cloth!

kenneth had japanese sakae. it came in a cute little glass bottle, which is then reused to serve water to customers. please do not go there on an empty stomach! the portions are really small, regardless of whether its a main or an entree. kenneth and i shared those 5 dishes above - 4 mains and 1 entree. we weren't full at all! having said that, the food was awesome. :D the tempura flour was crispy, the pork was so soft and sweet, and the tuna, salmon and king fish were so fresh. high quality japanese food, as good as nobu or maybe better since its less commercialised. the bill was so cute! be prepared to pay an average price of 15 bucks per dish. will i go back again? yes, definitely.

Unplanned

fell sick one fine saturday due to the excessive amount of chocolates consumed when i just got back this year. was supposed to join the clique at the safari, instead i spent the afternoon with my brother at NGV and the night with the clique at moomba! despite my sore throat i was still shouting my lungs off on one of those thrill rides.

that black square board was the most memorable art piece to me. makes me wonder if the reason behind it is more important that the artwork itself. we got lost in the gallery for quite some time, before deciding that we were hungry and went for scones at the tearoom.

The Surprise Party

this was the most successful birthday party i've ever thrown for someone. my brother thought i was going to bring him for fine dine, but it turned out to be a home party with lots of unhealthy fried food, drinks, balloons, people and noise. 180 degrees difference. miss that night!

a pretty card for mother's day from the four of us to our dearest mum. i think this is one of the simplest yet sincere present that a child can give to a mum. mothers are really one of the greatest people on earth, they love their children unconditionally despite receiving rejection that often comes from their children. to all mothers out there, happy mother's day!
