i was at Marina Bay Sands with shawn and lucas last monday. the 2 boys were out from JB with their mums and their granny for a 2 night stay at MBS. we accompanied them from 4 to 10. they made my day. how much cuter can kids get?
sad to say, i was really disappointed with MBS. all the big fuss was really empty talk. i guess MBS is rated as 5 stars? at the present state their in, i would just give it a low 5, or even a 4. everything's really very disorganised and messy. the hotel layout, rooms, service and security is way better in other hotels like st regis, fullerton, ritz carlton, hyatt or hilton. i really do hope that the reason for my dissatisfaction is due to the fact that they are newly opened.
apparently, my aunt spent an hour checking in, and had to wait for another hour for the bell boy to deliver their luggages up to the room. they said they rather do it themselves, i can't agree more. it's not just me that's complaining, i've heard so many other people ranting about the poor (slow) service.
the sky park. didn't get to swim in the infinity pool, but i will be on new year's eve. i think the sky park would be perfect without non-hotel guests. aren't hotel pools suppose to be quiet and relaxing? when i was up there, there were so many people and event planning going on, i can't imagine new year's eve. ku de ta - lifestyle less ordinary. that i wanna go!
alright, i give credits to the main hotel lobby, specifically tower 1, and their huge and wide shopping centre. that, i love and was in awe. frankly speaking, i could tell that they are trying their best to provide their guests with first class service. they are not up there yet, but i can see their efforts. the room my aunty stayed in was not too bad, given that its the "lowest-rate" room. i've seen the premium rooms and suites, and i must agree that they look stunning.
i really hope that my 2 nights stay at MBS on the last 2 days of 2010 would be a pleasant one. is one month enough for them to iron out the kinks? :)
